The Ludlow Survivors Group was formed in 2005 and came about after I was given the first DVD set of “SURVIVORS” which was a BBC television series first shown in 1975 about the aftermath of a global pandemic that had killed over 99% of the population.
From this I started to visit the official web site at www.survivorstvseries.com
Through this I joined Bob Meades forum pages and became a regular contributor to the various discussions that unfolded.
Some of the topics on the forum led to discussions about “what if” a similar event should occur to modern society. Because of this it was thought that it would be better to set up a new forum.
Hence, Ludlow Survivors Group was born; it started in a small way and over the next few years got much larger. The original forum was soon too small to deal with all the topics and had to grow…
The original group consisted of just five members; myself, English Herts, British Red, David C and Pioneer, at the end of 2006 it had a total membership in excess of eighty people from around the globe.
Forum topics are wide and varied and there are close to ten thousand posts at this time. So much information has accumulated over the period that the forum has been running that one of the members gathered all the information an E-BOOK was created giving information about what we feel would be useful following a breakdown in society.
I would like to give my thanks to all who have contributed articles to the website, it wouldn't be what it is without your valuable contributions.
Last but by no means least all the members of the forum, just for being there.
I hope you will go to a few of the pages that are listed, some of them are still under construction and others will need a bit of tweaking to get them finished, you will see that a number of photographs are missing, should you wish to see the entire article then just go to http://ludlowsurvivors.bravehost.com where you will hopefully find the original article on the first site that was created before we went PRO.
